When shopping for a shoe to treat your heel pain the first thing you must look for is a firm heel counter. The heel counter is the back portion of the shoe that wraps around your heel bone and controls pronation and supination. If the sole offers little resistance and collapses in the middle then stay away from the shoe. The proper soles should bend very gradual and offer some resistant.
